Charlotte Isaacson, who prays faithfully at Family Planning Associates late-term abortion facility, commonly known as "Albany", had an idea. It was to inaugurate a March for Life in Chicago on January 22, the anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that made abortion legal throughout the nine months of pregnancy. So that is what Charlotte did.

The First Annual Chicago March for Life stepped off from the steps of Holy Name Cathedral on January 22, 2006 and over one hundred faithful made their way through the streets to the famed Water Tower landmark in the heart of Chicago's opulent Gold Coast shopping district. Rick Ryan, who has saved countless babies from abortion at Albany, led the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet while many Sunday shoppers passed by, milled about, and wondered at the faithful and the images of Divine Mercy and Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Charlotte hopes this Chicago March will grow and become as much a tradition in Chicago as the incomparable March for Life in Washington, D.C. Many thanks to Charlotte, Rick and all the Helpers who participated!
