Our Lady Towers Over Albany Abortion Mill
Hundreds Pray Beneath 38-Foot Statue
For over 24 hours, the 38-foot-tall Our Lady of the New Millennium statue was stationed in a parking lot across from Albany Surgical-Medical Center, a notorious second-trimester abortion clinic. Hundreds prayed at the foot of the inspiring statue during the Nov. 22-23 vigil, organized by the Helpers of God's Precious Infants, the Pro-Life Action League's sidewalk counseling division.

"Empty Manger" Caroling Brings Christmas Hope to Abortion Mills
On Dec. 20, 2003 the Pro-Life Action League, in concert with groups around the country, toured local abortion mills for the first-ever "Empty Manger" Christmas Caroling day. At each abortion mill, the group gathered around a replica of a manger, as both a memorial to the unborn children being killed that day and a symbol of the joyful birth of the Christ child and every child.

On Nov. 20, 2003, the League held a phenomenally successful picket at Albany abortion mill on Chicago's northwest side. Eighty pro-lifers came out to protest the killing and at least four babies were saved during the picket.

Inspired by the success of our two-week Face the Truth tour throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana in July, we decided to expand our Face the Truth campaign with monthly "Truth Days" in downtown Chicago from August through November. Thousands more Chicagoans were reached with our signs and literature.

Thousands of Catholics gathered on Navy Pier Oct. 30 through Nov. 2 for the Archdiocese of Chicag's Festival of Faith. The Pro-Life Action League was there with three different exhibitor booths. We passed out thousands of "Life Cards" designed specifically for the event, which showed the connection between pro-life activism and the Catholic faith.
