Letters to the Editor

My father is Chris Danze, the contractor who stalled the Abortion clinic in Austin,TX; he agrees with Scheidler 100%, as I do. Not sure if you were aware that the original contractor backed out Nov. 5 because of lack of man-power. Planned Parenthood then hired themselves and just submitted a request for a permit Jan. 6. Now they are using the government to force (perhaps illegally) a concrete company to do the work!
As I am now working on my PhD here in Chicago, it is nice to see others in my city with such strong convictions working to save women and children. Your website is now one of my bookmarks!
Teresa Lemieux, Chicago, IL
Editor’s Note: Chris Danze and Joe Scheidler had the good fortune to meet in Washington during the March for Life and share their mutual esteem and good wishes.

I am a 43-year-old woman. If abortion had been legal in 1960, I would not be here. When I was 23 years old in the navy, I got pregnant and my mother tried to talk me into an abortion. I refused. That child is now 18 years old and has me very proud. He is extremely talented and wants to go to college.

Dear Mr. Scheidler,
I just received your letter today about your abortion providers book project. I think this idea is God-inspired. I pray every day for an end to abortion and I think God is beginning to hear my prayer and that of many people.
Your Action News looks very interesting. What will you think of next? You have some very good ideas. I think God has raised you up for this very difficult, very special work. Who could ever think the American people could slip to such depths as to approve of abortion! I was paralyzed when I read recently that there have been over 40 million of our precious, beautiful babies killed since 1973! How anyone could ever think this is all right? It is outright murder!
Joe, you and your great family are fantastic. May God bless each and every one of you for all you are doing for Him. You are going to have a high place in heaven. Cordially,
Sister Evelyn Marie Elwell, S.C., Mount St. Joseph, OH
Dear Joe,
I want to thank you again for your absolutely wonderful presentation to our group Nov. 8 in LaCrosse. Every person I spoke to afterward said they could have listened to you for another hour, easily. You fed us all so well and so much with the food, truth and zeal of Christ. Many (if not all) came away very much recharged to continue to do pro-life work in our area.
Sincerely,
Mary Turner, President, Life Voice, LaCross, WI

Dear Joe,
Recently I had the opportunity to borrow a Meet the Abortion Providers tape. I was able to invite several of my friends to watch it and even though some have been involved in the pro-life movement they were shocked at what they saw and heard.
About six weeks ago one of the three abortion mills in the city of Sarasota, FL closed its doors. Some very faithful proclaimers of the truth about abortion had been going down to the mill for almost fifteen years. It was a long hard battle, but God in His wonderful faithfulness allowed them to see the fruit of their labor.
I am always interested to read your newsletter to see what is taking place in your organization. I feel it is important for those involved in the pro-life movement to know what is taking place in other areas of the country. I pray that the Lord will provide all the funds you need to carry on your heavenly Father’s work.
Yours in Christ,
Shirley Bohne, Frandenton, FL
Hi Joe,
Congratulations on your successful protest at the fundraiser for Dan Hynes sponsored by the St. Ignatius faculty and alumni. As a graduate of St. Ignatius (class of '47) I’m embarrassed that they would overlook the pro-abortion stance of one of their very own. I believe that John Madigan is also a St. Ignatius product and his daughter Lisa certainly promotes the pro-abortion agenda.
I think the various Catholic schools will think twice before embracing pro-abortion politicians. It would make your job a lot easier if the Catholic politicians would follow the Church’s teaching regarding abortion. Maybe someday Catholics will stick together and refuse to vote for pro-abortion candidates. Keep up the good work and point out when Catholic institutions invite pro-abortion speakers to various functions. The schools might be shamed into taking the proper action.
Best Wishes,
John F. Mangan, Chicago, IL
Editor’s note: St. Ignatius did not officially approve the fundraiser for Hynes, and immediately following our contact with the school, they posted an official policy that they do not endorse or support any political candidates.
Dear Joe,
Enclosed is a donation to help publish the book, Meet the Abortion Provciers, the Inside Story. It is a story that must be told. We thank these individuals who had the courage to tell the truth. Jesus forgives sinners when we repent, confess and ask for His forgiveness. May God bless you, your family, staff and all who support your ministry with prayers or finances.
In Christ,
Frank and Anita Battle, San Antonio, TX

I hope this can help: I’m pro-life and when people ask me whether I care about “choice” all I say is that back in 1971 my mother was raped. I am that child of that rape. It’s funny how they react after that. They try to say, well, that was a different time. All I say back is that I didn’t rape my mother—and she told me that.
And one more thing: I love you Mom and I thank God for you.

Thank you for your efforts. I passed your Face the Truth volunteers on Adams street near the Union Station this morning. I have long thought that the truth is the greatest weapon against the argument for abortion, and especially effective is the use of these images.
Abortion is the great battle of our time. The tide may be turned by the conversion of what I call "generally reasonable people" who support abortion. They’ve been conned. Abortion is a horrible thing. It offends us to the fabric of our souls.
God Bless,
Michael Tams, Chicago, IL
