The League celebrates the births this year of Mary Macrina Scheidler (left), born July 6, the daughter of League Communi-cations Director and his wife April; Hannah Grace Casselman (center), born August 27, daughter of Generations for Life Director Annie Casselman and her husband Robert; and Maria Lucia Jansen (right), born September 11, daughter of GFL Co-Director John Jansen and his wife Jocelyn. These three beautiful baby girls remind us why we must work diligently to save the lives of unborn babies.

Joe and Ann Scheidler, along with son Eric, were the guests of Steve and Michael Peroutka when the brothers hosted their Annual Pro-Life Appreciation Dinner in Baltimore, MD, October 27. The Peroutkas recognized the selfless contributions of pro-life activists, sidewalk counselors, pregnancy resource center operators and pro-life politicians throughout the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. region. Alan Keyes gave a rousing keynote address, and Joe Scheidler offered closing remarks and a final prayer. The Scheidlers were especially gratified to be present at this year's dinner since an uncanny series of airline problems prevented their attending last year.

A large group of Pro-Life Action League volunteers gathered August 5 for the Archdiocese of Chicago's Eucharistic Procession through Grant Park, followed by Benediction led by Cardinal Francis George. Most of the League group wore their Face the Truth T-shirts, with the fitting slogan on back, "Choose Life." The Chicago Sun-Times noted the T-shirts in a story on the event.
